microclear membrane bioreactors titleRockbourne Environmental's innovative MicroClear system offers clear ecological and economical advantages, opening up opportunities to produce germ-free, clean water for industry, urban and rural communities. The proven ultra-filtration technology in MicroClear is ideal for treating sewage and industrial effluents and for greywater recycling.

It’s the combination of features that makes MicroClear so compelling:

  • compact format significantly reduces space requirements
  • flexible modular structure makes systems infinitely scalable
  • variable plate spacing to accommodate the properties of the untreated water.

[MicroClear with its unique self-cleaning mechanism is patented for the European region.]

Fewer chemicals, more efficiency
Periodically rising air bubbles optimise backwash aeration to produce a continuous cleaning effect on the filtration plates whilst ensuring oxygen content in the activated sludge of the membrane reactor. This highly efficient self-cleaning method reduces the need for chemical cleaning to an absolute minimum.

microclear membrane bioreaction process

Submerged directly into untreated water, filtrate is drawn through and out of the filter by a pressure reduction of just 0.1 bar. Coupled with robust construction and environmentally friendly self-cleaning, MicroClear offers unrivalled performance.

Secure construction, simple usage
A laser-welding technique developed especially for the production of filters assures secure operation. Minimal pre-treatment requirements and the backwash process are convincing factors in everyday operation. The service life for MicroClear filters can be as much as 10 years.
  Quality with guarantee
Retention rate is not just a question of membrane quality, but also of maintaining very stringent tolerances during production. Every MicroClear filter plate is individual tested to ensure leak-free performance before being assembled into complete filters - which are tested again for leaks.
